Ethylene oxide (also known as EO or EtO) is an alkylating agent that disrupts cellular metabolism and reproductive processes of microorganisms.
Basing on vacuum processes, EO penetrates breathable packaging, making contact with all accessible surfaces of the product, kill microorganisms. and achieve the required sterility assurance level (SAL).
Ethylene oxide sterilization consists of four primary variables: gas concentration, humidity, temperature, and time.The low temperature process makes EO an ideal method for a wide variety of healthcare products, including masks, protective clothing, and electronic medical instruments, etc.

Leakage rate of sterilization chamber
The measurement of the leakage rate is carried out under the conditions of no load, the temperature of the sterilization chamber is unchanged, the test pressure is -50kPa, and the measurement time is 1h. The average leakage rate within the measurement time is ≤0.1kPa / min.
Under no-load conditions, the time for the sterilization cabinet to reach -60kPa from atmospheric pressure should be ≤30min.
